Family Fun
Growing a Legacy of Family, Faith, and Fun
Janice and I are extremely blessed to come from families that place priorities in “Family, Faith, and Fun”. Janice has seven brothers and sisters, four that live in Nebraska, a brother in Kansas, a sister in Minnesota and a sister in Texas.
I have a brother in Nebraska, a sister in Missouri and another sister in Arkansas. My mother, Janet, still lives on the farm where I grew up and was also my great-grandparents farm. She enjoys hosting family gatherings, only two miles from our farm.
Our oldest daughter Trish lives in Kearney Nebraska. She has two daughters, Elizabeth and Charlotte. She also utilizes her degree in Nursing.
Sarah is our middle daughter. She married Khris Staton and they live in Kearney as well. Khris is an agronomist and Sarah is an RN working as a house supervisor at Good Sam’s. They have a daughter, Aliyah, and a son, Ryker.
Angela is our youngest and is a Doctor of Pathology. She is working at Good Sam’s in Kearney. Her husband Tommy works for MCL in Kearney as a project estimator. They have two son’s. Wyatt and Frederick. They live in rural Riverdale.
Over the years, our “Family Fun” has had to work around our farm schedule. However, we are grateful that our crew is willing to step up so we can get away more often. As grandparents we find ourselves traveling to Kearney for various activities or watching the grandkids at the farm.
We enjoy doing things together which include traveling and golf. We also enjoy serving our Lord as board members of Habitat for Humanity, involvement with Colorado Via de Cristo, our church, and various outreach projects. One of these projects is the Living Nativity which we supply all the supporting animals. God continues to find ways to work through us as life shifts our priorities. Our faith is unwavering, and our family is priceless. Thus our definition of fun. I pray this legacy will continue to grow for generations to come.
Acts 16:31-34
The Philippian Jailer Converted
31 And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.” 32 And they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. 33 And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their wounds; and he was baptized at once, he and all his family. 34 Then he brought them up into his house and set food before them. And he rejoiced along with his entire household that he had believed in God.
